CW011A / CW012A / CW013A / Silver Bearing Copper
Silver-bearing copper is a variation of ETP copper with a small addition of silver to the copper matrix to improve the materials resistance to softening. There are three grades of silver bearing copper available from Holme Dodsworth Class 2, 3 and 4, dependent on the silver content. The other main advantages of using silver bearing coppers are enhanced mechanical strengths, electrical conductivity and improved heat and corrosion resistance.
Silver bearing copper is typically used in applications such as commutator bars and segments in traction motors and various DC industrial motors. Holme Dodsworth are able to supply all three grades of silver-bearing copper in different sections according to our customer requirements.
