Bronze Hollow
Our bronze hollow bar is drawn to produce seamless tubing to a precise level of uniformity. It can be used to create many kinds of cylindrical components for use in numerous engineering applications.
Typical uses of brass hollow bar include electronics (due to its low friction characteristics), military (as it is very tough and durable), chemical, petrochemical and power generation (because of its excellent anti-corrosive properties).
Its robust nature means that bronze hollow bar/tube is also suitable for applications such as heavy duty vehicle manufacture, power transmission, cranes, hoists and elevators. Their cylindrical shape lends itself to the production of valve bodies, hydraulic equipment, pistons and piston rings.
Ordering bronze hollow bar that has a diameter and wall thickness close to that of the finished product can often save a great deal of machining, reduces tooling and labour costs and shortens lead times.
Our bronze hollow bar is easy to machine whilst its hard surface makes it resistant to corrosion and stress cracking or pitting.
With an extensive range of outer and inner diameter combinations Holme Dodsworth are likely to stock the hollow bar to suit your individual application but please ask for any non-standard sizes.
